Slim in 6 Printable Calendar

Slim in 6 calendar

I had a request to create a printable Slim in 6 calendar. My wife has the Slim in 6 DVDs so this seemed like a pretty good idea. I used the color schemes from the disk and to some extent I copied the calendar that came with the DVDs. Hope you like it.

Great work. But, it’s different from the schedule WOWY shows in the auto-schedule. Are there different plans for Slim in 6?

    • gravman November 30, 2010, 9:11 pm

      Hi Howie,
You know, I never looked at the WOWY schedule before I made the calendar, I used the calendar that came with the DVDs as a reference. After reading your comment I did go and look at the WOWY schedule and it only has you doing Start it Up for one day. Doesn’t make sense to me for them to go to the trouble of making a disk and sending it to you and charging you for it only to have you do it for one day. Also, the program literature says you should move from one level to the next on your own, when you feel ready, and even the two weeks are just a guideline. The calendar obviously isn’t perfect, but it is what it is and I think that’s the way I’m going to leave it. You’re free to edit the calendar as you see fit, however. All you have to do is unprotect the sheet and you can edit it any way you like, no passwords or anything.

Please don’t take it as saying the calendar was wrong. I haven’t done that workout, so was asking if there were different plans to follow similar to P90X having classic, lean, doubles. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the Calendar Gravman, this is just what I was writing on the calendar everyday. I don’t know why i didnt think of this myself.. I love it…Great Job!!!!!

  • karen April 13, 2011, 12:34 am

Thank you so much for this! I was given the dvds & some of the add-ons by a friend who wasn’t using them but ONLY the discs — not even the covers and definitely not any of the materials. I’m tweaking it a bit as I need to give myself a rest day or I’ll collapse but it’s sooooo much nicer having this as a launching pad rather than having to figure it all out myself :)

  • Francys May 31, 2011, 12:39 pm

Thank u so much, bra :D! Do you have any advice to do this a little bit more effective?? I mean, what to do to not lose the motivation u start with? Thnx a lot :D!

    • gravman June 1, 2011, 8:00 pm

Ooh, that’s a tough one, how not to lose the motivation. It’s ironic you ask that because I just saw an article on WebMD yesterday about staying motivated while exercising. I’ll try to find that article and link it for you, but in the meantime here are a few things that came to my mind when I read your question.

      1. Don’t expect overnight success.
      2. Commit to the program.
      3. Make it part of your everyday routine.
      4. Be accountable to someone.
      5. Pretend to enjoy it if you don’t at first.
      6. Nutrition and exercise go hand in hand.

      Here’s that link: Good luck!

This looks great but I have a quick question as I was given the Discs with no literature. Do we do the Start it up video, plus the two below it each day? And the same for Ramp it up and Burn it up? I am trying to carve the workout into my daily schedule and just needed a time reference. Thanks!

    • gravman August 21, 2011, 11:06 am

Those two other routines with the check boxes (Slim & Six-Pack and Slim & Limber) are optional and I think you only do one each day. I think you would alternate them each day. They (Beachbody) do say not to work your abs every day, they (your abs) need a rest like any other muscle group. I hope that answers your question.

  • Meg October 14, 2011, 12:26 am

Thanks Gravman…was just looking for this..

I saw the Slim in 6 program back in 2009, when my daughter was a baby and I had some baby weight on, and really wanted to try it. I downloaded it but it wasn’t a good copy and I never did try it :( Since then, I’ve gained some weight and am just at the point now where I’m ready for it to go!!!!! I just started this past Monday and have been concentrating on eating better this week. I just downloaded a new copy of Slim in 6 tonight and it is a really good copy :) I have like 60 lbs I would like to lose, with my goal at 80 lbs. I was wondering how to do the program and then I found this schedule :) Thanks so much. I am starting on Monday and I will check back in six weeks time with my progress :D

  • Laurac66 February 28, 2012, 5:00 pm

Thanks gravman! Not only was the calendar a big help but so is the WebMD article! I’m looking for a Slim In 6 buddy if anyone is interested let me know…maybe we can motivate one another :)

    • gravman February 28, 2012, 9:05 pm

Hey, thanks for the comment. I wish I had enough return visitors to help you find a workout buddy, but even though thousands of people come here each month to download calendars, I’m pretty much the only one who ever responds to the comments. Kind of a bummer, but I haven’t figured out how to change that yet. In the mean time I’d say your best bet to find someone online to be a slim in 6 buddy would be at the beachbody forums. They’re free and it doesn’t matter if you bought the workouts through them or not. Lots of great people on there with advice, experience, etc. Here’s a link: Good luck and have fun. Please feel free to report back on your progress…. I’ll be here. :)

  • tobi March 10, 2012, 2:00 pm

thanks so much for the calendar. I’m starting tomorrow and i was able to change the start date easily and then nice surprise, the other dates just automatically adjusted themselves!! (i’m realli bad with the computer hence the excitement.) quick question though, are you meant to work out everyday of the week or 6 times a day like some reviews have said? because there is no rest day specified on the calendar, or should i just designate one for myself?

    • gravman March 12, 2012, 5:59 pm

When I created that calendar I copied it straight from the paper calendar that came with the DVDs. However, when you brought it up it did seem strange to me that there was no rest day scheduled so I went to and looked up the calendar and they did have a rest day every seventh day. Thank you for pointing that out. The Slim in 6 Calendar has been updated.

I wanna take p90x, but i did the fitness test and I couldn’t reach the minimum… So they recomend power 90, or slim in 6. By now i’m so thin, I got troubles for gain weight and I’m loss weight, do you recomend me do p90 or slim in 6???? or what do you think that is the excersise program for me?

  • gravman April 21, 2012, 10:48 am

If you don’t feel like you’re ready for P90X I would definitely recommend P90. I did P90 before I did P90X and I liked it a lot. It helped me gain strength, endurance and confidence. I’ve never done Slim in 6 myself so I can’t speak to how well it might work for getting you ready for P90X. But, if you’re set on doing P90X, you can’t go wrong doing P90 first. Good luck!

  • Moh August 9, 2012, 11:21 am

    many thanks Grav.
do you have the nutrition guide or the diet guide?!

  • Jocelyn August 10, 2012, 12:33 pm

Thanks for making this calendar! It’s great! And it saved me a lot of time since I don’t have to put one together myself! It’s very customizable too, if you’re familiar with Excel (which I am). :D Blessings…

  • tiffany August 22, 2012, 8:15 am

Thank you so much for posting this calendar- I bought the Slim in Six videos 6 years ago and lost alot of inches with the program. I live in Joplin, MO and last year we had a tornado, i’m very blessed but I lost all the Slim stuff. I got a copy from a friend of the workouts but still needed the calendar and diet plan. Thank you so much for posting this so I can get back to working out. – I just refused to pay that much money for something I already paid for lol – Thanks again :)

  • Marie August 24, 2012, 6:39 am

I’ve had the slim in 6 for years and have just dusted it off to start again and lost the inside material. Thank you so much for doing this calendar, it is so helpful. And you stated above you hadn’t done the slim in 6 but I appreciate you taking the time to reference back to beach body for the original calender layout and making the excel sheet so easy so I all I have to do is change my start date at the top and the rest of the dates follow. Thanks again!

    • gravman August 26, 2012, 8:26 am

      Marie –
Thanks for the kind words. I’m glad you found the calendar helpful. Good luck with your Slim in 6.

  • Sonia December 4, 2012, 6:14 am

Great calendar. I started yesterday my Slim in 6 and was kind of lost since the calendar that came with the program is blank. This tool will be helpful for me and the rest of the challenge girls.

  • Sarah Hancock December 25, 2012, 6:56 pm

Thank you. I just printed it and am going to actually use the program I bought in 2008! I’ll check in later.

  • Maria Manolaka February 20, 2013, 10:12 am

    Thank you so much!!!
    You did an amazing job!!!

  • Leah March 8, 2013, 7:25 am

Thank you for the SI6 calendar..Ièm 2 wks in already and needed to do the SIU for 2 weeks even tho thats not the original schedule. So this schedule is perfect me. For anyone that had been out of working out for awhile this is perfect. Do the SIU for atleast 2 weeks to gradually strengthen up. Good job!!

  • Trisha March 10, 2013, 12:03 pm

Just purchased DVDs. Have bands and such. Didn’t think about support paperwork. Love that you did this! Thanks!

    • gravman March 21, 2013, 6:22 am

I’m glad you find them useful. Thank you for the comment.

  • Laura March 21, 2013, 6:03 am

In the manual it says to workout everyday of the week. I see you have a rest day on your calendar. Will the workout still be effective with a rest day?

    • gravman March 21, 2013, 6:21 am

I get the information for my calendars from the Beachbody website. I believe the calendar that came with Slim in 6 does have you working out every day, but the calendar on the beachbody website includes a rest day (I’m reasonably sure it does). Every other workout routine I know of has a rest day – sometimes two – so I think rest days are very important. That being said, if you don’t feel like you need a rest day and you have the energy to workout every single day, then go for it. Taking one day off a week will not ruin what you’re trying to do with Slim in 6. Good luck!

  • Deedee March 27, 2013, 9:20 pm

    Hi thanks for the calendar.
Justa quick note the Slim and Limber should be used before you do the start it up, burn it up, and ramp it up. Stretching prior to is very important, it will also be good to do them after if you have time. It helps with your healing and endurance

  • Jayda April 28, 2013, 8:19 am

First of all great calendar love it but I was wondering do I chose between slim and six pack and slim and limber and if so how should I alternate ?

  • Ava May 30, 2013, 8:27 pm

Alright, this is the ultimate P90 X Workout Schedule and for those or cycles to this workout routine.

  • Linda June 10, 2013, 5:34 am

Hi thanks for the calendar. what i have been looking for !!!!!

  • Carla June 15, 2013, 5:38 am

thanks for the calender, I started yesterday does anyone else find that there thighs are KILLING or am I doing something wrong. Certainly showed me how unfit I am but I guess you have to start somewhere.

I am surprised that you do it for 6 days solid as I thought you had to give your muscles a chance to rest to recover.

With regards to the discs do you complete ‘start it up’ and slim and limber on say day one then start it up and slim and 6 pack day 2 then alternate it?

Anyone had real results in the 6 weeks?

  • Bianca June 25, 2013, 7:30 am

Thank you so much for this calender! I bought my Slim in 6 in 2002! So I have no idea what happened to the calender. I had great success when I followed the program. I look forward to achieving similar results. Thanks again for posting this calender and allowing us to edit it!

  • Luciana September 6, 2013, 12:07 am

Thank you so much for the calendar. You are super kind taking the time to even post all this and answer everyone.

For my peers. I did the whole 6 weeks of Slim6 2 years ago and had really great results. Then I went to Turbo Fire and had lots of problems with my knees because of so many jumps. But Slim6 had already got me to where I needed to be not only in terms of greatly adjusting my body, but placed me in shape and mind/conscious at a very healthy stage where I’ve continued to exercise dancing and doing what I liked to maintain healthy.

Slim 6 does really work wonders even with just being attentive as to what you eat and making reasonable choices, with no retrains that make you give up, just fewer allowances and not really dieting.

Now, after going through stressful changes on my life and having let myself go a bit, I am starting again. I have done 3 days of the Start Up and am POSITIVE I will finish it all and will have great results, just because my past experience and because of how great I feel about myself everyday I am disciplined and thus accomplished.

I hope that may help all of you too.

  • cheercoach95 October 3, 2013, 8:33 pm

Gravman, Thanks SOOO much for the calendar. I bought Slim in 6, the Series & Express on ebay for a really great deal, but found that Slim in 6 didn’t come with a calendar like the Series & Express did.
I’ve been trying to do Slim in 6 off & on for a month. I say “try” because I work on odd 10hr day schedule & either I’m finding it a bit boring or I don’t seem to stay motivated to come home & do it. Not sure which one? Does anyone else find it boring or is it just me? If anyone out there is starting Slim in 6 & needs a buddy, I could use one.

    • gravman November 4, 2013, 10:39 am

I’m sorry it took me so long to respond to your comment. I have heard other people complain about Slim in 6 being boring because it is the same routine every day. You can always try a different work out that alternates day to day, like Power 90. I liked the original Power 90 a lot. There’s more strength training in Power 90, but it’s not the kind of strength training that will give you muscle bulk – it is still geared toward weight loss.

As for looking for a work out buddy, asking in the comments here might not be the best place because unfortunately I don’t get a lot of return visitors – for the most part people come here to download a calendar and that’s it. That’s partially my fault for not doing a better job of putting out more regular content. If you want a buddy I can strongly recommend the beach body message boards. It’s free and they don’t ask where you got your copy of the work outs – you don’t have to buy it from them to join the message boards.

  • Raynie July 16, 2014, 9:02 am

THANK YOU!!! I too seen the WOWY calendar and tried to use it, only to feel like I wasn’t ready at all to move to ramp it up on day 2. This is SO much more realistic and by the end of the Start it up I should definantly be ready to move to the next level. I would recommend this shedule over any others I have seen, to keep me motivated and to ease my body into it the right way. Thanks again!
